Video 2: The Customer Challenge - How to Find the people who will love what you do

One of my favourite things to do is help people to pinpoint their unique offering in the market.  They may have a business that on the surface could be the same as any other, the same service or the same product, but who they are and what we uncover helps them to stand out in the market.

Big companies have big budgets to get their message out there. When we’re small, we don’t have the same resources, so we have to get creative and our message needs to be more powerful. We also need to be more focused on finding channels, platforms or tactics that help us get to more of the people that will value what we do over the competition.  Regardless of whether we’re in the early stages or later stages of growth, finding and retaining customers is one of the most important aspects to business success.

When we help people understand what they can be the best in the world at, because only who they are offers that uniqueness within their business, it’s a game-changer. Imagine finding customers who absolutely love what you do, who see why you do it the way you do it and who are willing to tell everyone they know about you.

The solution - 0-1

So, what’s one thing you can do to find them?  I want you to take a long look at what you do but in the eyes of your customer.  Imagine you were your best customer. Picture them. Picture what it is that is important to them. Why do they like you. What is it about what you do that they really appreciated? What are their attributes that may influence them thinking that?

Once you have a picture of your best customer and how they may view you. How might you find other people just like that customer? Where do they hang out? Where do they hang out where there is a lot of the same type of people?

This is one of the steps to discovering how to uniquely position yourself in a highly competitive and noisy market. And then you can get creative with how you reach them.

We have a really simple framework that helps you build out your messaging to your customers in any situation called the Six Pillars Framework. Download your copy to develop your most effective messaging and start getting better results from anything you put out there.
